Indian artist Subod Gupta (b.1964) has attracted worldwide attention for his sophisticated formative language while showing the current state of India, which has grown rapidly and has become westernized.
‘Sangam’ (Hindu for ‘confluence’),is also the title of the exhibition. Artist chose the reference to Sangam because Le Bon Marché is where people from all over the world meet, encounter each other.
